Is that even legal though? I think this has happend twice now where somone has spilled the beans.If is is the title of the new expansion coming people shouldnt send it out without confirmation with SE first.
As much as we would like people not to, it’s going to happen. It’s the same thing when Wow players watch for copyright requests from Blizzard for major expansions. Whether or not the title is real, someone is bound to be watching to report. It’s not technically illegal since pulling the copyright information is easy.
It’s only if the person was under an NDA and told not to tell anyone then went blabbing to the world about it without authorization from SE, would it be illegal.
copyrights/trademarks have to be publicly visible for legal reasons after all. only way they could avoid it is to not register until shortly before the announcement, which some companies do (we saw that a lot around E3 shortly before the conferences) while others don’t, in order to make sure the name isn’t taken by anyone else in case there’s a leak.

I had a very David Lynch-inspired dream… I was offered a cup of coffee by A Mysterious Entity that I remember nothing about, and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor.
“Funny,” I said. “I don’t usually drink my coffee black, but this isn’t bad.”
The Entity began to laugh. “That’s not coffee you’re drinking,” it said, darkly.
I paused with the mug to my lips as horror slowly dawned on me. Then something inside my head shrugged, said ‘fuck it’, and tipped the mug back. I did not blink or break eye contact with The Entity as I slowly chugged whatever nightmarish substance it had given me.
There was an awkward silence, and The Entity cleared its throat uncomfortably.
