instead of redemption arcs, how about vegeta arcs. like how a character is now living perhaps with the heroes and interacting with them casually and is sorta part of the group.

They’re still a asshole, they haven’t changed in the slightest personality wise and maybe even don’t care about anything they’ve done in the past let alone feel remorse. They just hang around the heroes now for whatever reason.

hey WHAT THE FUCK ARE THESE THINGS

eels

oh… hello beautifuls….

these wiggly fellas are Anguilla dieffenbachii, or New Zealand longfin eels. the ones in local rivers and preserves are known for being gentle, food-driven little weenies that beg tourists for food.

especially hungry wild specimens have been reported to attack humans and animals by swarming them and ripping off their flesh, but these ones are harmless!

Nerdcatte Honesty Hour

  • Their first impression: “Blonde hyur…probably one of Saerdha’s, I suppose. Seems harmless enough. Has some peculiar ideas, and seems to bound headfirst into everything like a stag during mating season. Only a lot louder.”
  • Their current impression: “I truly believe that his heart is in the right place. The rest of him seems to be barreling in the wrong direction more often than not, but he’s reliable at least.”
  • What they like the most about your muse: “Rarely have I seen someone so keen to face danger head-on, and often on behalf of those less able to weather it. I’m uncertain if he is even aware there is such a thing as cowardice.”
  • What they dislike the most about your muse: “When he speaks of putting his blade through the hearts of the corrupted, I cannot help but shudder. I’m not exactly a stranger to the thought that some of my closest companions may have killed me had we met in different circumstances, but to hear it so plainly put unsettles me all the same.”
  • What your muse is for them ( Friend, lover, rival ecc.): “A stalwart ally, though it is difficult to call someone a friend when it is plain they cannot understand a word you say, and most of the time you haven’t the slightest idea what they’re on about either. I do, however, find his presence amenable.”
  • A general opinion of their relationship: “I fear I will never understand him, though I am fond enough of him to hope I never fall from his good graces. Er, for reasons OTHER than the fact that I’m certain he could best me one-handed if he had a mind to, I mean.”
  • If applicable, something they wish to reveal: “Once he ventured his opinion that I was ‘yet a maid’ and I cannot for the life of me understand what he meant by it. No one else seemed to question the assertion so I simply let it slide, but I think about it from time to time and wonder what in the hells it was supposed to mean. Some product of his peculiar views regarding women? Some Ishgardian humor I cannot understand, possibly involving their traditions of having uniformed female servants to perform housework? Obviously the moment has long passed and I cannot ask what on earth it was about NOW.”

  • Their first impression: “Who is this and why does he act like he owns my office? And why does he persist in trying to touch my ears and performing that lap-patting gesture? I wonder if he might be somewhat simple-minded.”
  • Their current impression: “There’s a kind of air about him like a shark smelling blood in the water, and not only does he possess strong convictions I find infuriating, he strikes me as the sort who is never truly happy without someone to punish for falling short of them. I do not trust him.”
  • What they like the most about your muse: “Ah, um…Hm. I get so few chances to practice my warding, so I’m glad that he has commissioned me to circumscribe his office. Um. I’ll need a few moments if I’m to come up with another one, I’m afraid.”
  • What they dislike the most about your muse: “The way he keeps trying to pet me as though I were a tame whittret. I don’t want to give offense, but someone ought to purchase that man a lapdog or something of the sort before the situation gets out of hand. He also has this way of smiling when he succeeds in throwing me off my guard (which is often) that reminds me very much of someone who has just lain down a winning hand in a game of cards. Only, I never agreed to play this game at all, and indeed I’m not even sure what game we’re playing.”
  • What your muse is for them ( Friend, lover, rival ecc.): “A provider of interesting opportunities, and a useful if unpleasant source of information. A more interesting question, I suppose, is what HE thinks I am to him. That, I could not tell you, other than what he pays me for.”
  • A general opinion of their relationship: “One of these days, SOMEONE’S patience is going to run out.”
